A Novel Method for ISAR Imaging of Bird Based on Minimum Entropy Criterion

It is a novel and vital approach of bird monitoring to get the images of birds by ISAR with high-resolution radar of frequency-stepped chirp,which is quite significant for security and development of human aviation.The serious micro-Doppler effects generated by birds’ flapping deteriorate the imaging quality via classical range-Doppler method.Based on the principle of producing micro-Doppler effects with the frequency-stepped chirp radar,a novel spectrogram join-togegher imaging method for birds based on minimum waveform entropy criterion is proposed,which can improve imaging quality obviously.Simulation results have proved the feasibility and effectiveness of the method.
