Effect of Zr on the Grain Size and Hardness of H65 Alloy Cast Grain

The effects of addition of different Zr content oncast structure and hardness of H65 alloy were studied through qualitative analysis and quantitative comparison. The results showed that the addition of Zr had obvious refining effect on H65 alloy cast structure, Zr reduced the grain size and increased the hardness of H65 alloy. The average grain diameter of the alloy is 63.38μm(only 3.3% of the alloy without Zr), the hardness is 143.02 HV as the content of Zr is 0.050%.
