The wheat straw traditional MWL (Milled wood lignin) and new EAL (Enzymatic hydrolysis/mild acidolysis lignin) were isolated. The functional groups content, β aryl-ether bonds content and the linkage types, DBDO (dibenzod-ioxocins) structures were determined with quantitative 31P-NMR, DFRC (Derivatization Followed by Reductive Cleavage) . Meanwhile, the thermochemical characteristics of wheat straw MWL, EAL and TAL were evaluated by thermogravimetry. Results showed that: EAL has high yield and purity, and the isolating proceeding procedure is simple, which has good representation of the wheat straw native lignin. The total β aryl-ether bonds content of EAL is 0.811mmol/L, which mainly originated from the phenolic hydroxyl group of guaiacyl and syringyl units. Wheat straw lignin has three kinds of DBDO new structures, their content are 0.244mmol/L. The pyrogenation property of MWL and EAL has not obviously difference. However, the pyrogenation property of TAL is much different from the others two lignin.
