An Analysis on the Cognitive Basis of Word Order of English and Chinese Freezes

The internal relations of the constituents of a language are not arbitrary or accidental.The linear order of freezes reflects the mental and cognitive activities of human beings. It reflects thespace-time and cultural concepts of different groups of folks. The difference of word order between Chi-nese and English should not be neglected in C-E and E-C translation. The translation is supposed toabide by the cultural norm of the target language.
