Survey on a Walled-city site at Jimingcheng in Gong'an County

Jia Hanqing  
Jimingcheng is located in the middle west of Gong' an County. Hubei Province, and hasbeen regarded as a city for a long time in the historical documents and folklore. It covers anarea of about 150,000 square meters. The considerable enclosure and moat are well pre-served. It is the 7th prehistoric walled-town ever found in the middle reach of the YangtzeRiver, and belongs to the Qujialing Culture dated 4,000 BP.
