Fractal Floc During Flocculation Processes and the Finding of Fractal Dimension

During flocculation processes,the water is put up by the clay whose grain size is less than 76 μm,and the flocculating agent is aluminium sulphate in which concentration is one percent. The floc formed in flocculation processes has a fractal ,selfsimilar structure which is observed with microscope and electronscanning microscope. When the turbidity of the water is 185 mg/L,the best added quantity is 3.2 mg/L. At this time the fractal dimension of floc is calculated to be 2.0.
