Analysis and Application of the Eccentrical Braces in Multi-storey Steel Frames

The steel Eccentrically Braced Frames(EBFs) have been widely applied in the multi-storey steel frames.In order to promote its development in China,the classification of active link and its effect on the working performance of EBFs were discussed.The design of EBFs in multi-storey steel frames was introduced.Its stiffness of elastic stage was also analyzed.Due to the remarkable advantages of working and economic performance,the EBFs are recommended to the practical use.
