Reflection on Teaching Reform in Philosophy

SUN Si(School of Philosophy,Wuhan University,Wuhan 430072,Hubei,China)  
Philosophy is always understood as love of wisdom and knowing yourself,and philosophical education is intended to help people to achieve these goals.However,there is a gap between this philosophical ideal and the current situation in our philosophical program.The major problems include: the fields that philosophical courses cover are not broad enough,and the standards of teaching evaluation are mechanical and dogmatic.In this paper,based upon the successful teaching experience in foreign philosophy programs,and in accordance with the ideal of philosophical education,I make some suggestions on the reform in philosophical teaching,which is both practically operative and has bearing on the future development.
