High Temperature XRD Analysis of Analcime in Ordos Basin

Using high temperature X-ray diffractometer,the analcime in cretaceous sedimentary rocks in Ordos Basin,northwest China was analyzed.The temperature ranged from room temperature to 1 350 ℃ at 50 ℃ or 100 ℃ intervals.The results indicated that the position and intensity of each diffraction peak of analcime regularly changed with that of the temperature.With the help of least square method(Program 9214),the paper calculated the unit cell parameter of analcime, and determined that the analcime was cubic at room temperature,tetragonal at 500 ℃,monoclinic at 1 000 ℃.The changes of crystal structure were closely related to the dehydration of analcime and deformation of silicate framework.
