The preparation of chitosan under microwave radiation and the properties of its film

Chitosan was prepared more rapidly than that of traditional technique under microwave radiation.The molecular weight and deacetylation degree were measured,and the crystallization degree,tensile properties and gas permeability were also characterized.The results indicated that,crystallization degree and tensile strength of the film increased with increased molecular weight,but oxygen and carbon dioxide permeability and elongation at break decreased.
