Study on Plate Structural Damage Identification Based on Flexibility Curvature

The plate structure was meshed according to the Kirchhoff thin plate assumption,the flexibility matrix could be rebuilt with regard to structure response,and the variation of flexibility could be amplified through second order differential coefficient to obtain the flexibility curvature matrix,then the damage degree could be estimated through equivalent curvature ratio.Examples indicated that the method can locate the damages exactly,which is highly sensitive and can also using original undamaged structure's mode parameters,and the damage can be detected with satisfactory precision by a few lower modes even the first mode.
