A Method for Heterogeneous Distributed Database Query Optimization Combined with the Advantages of Genetic and Hill-climbing Algorithm

To distribute heterogeneous database, query optimization is not only the very complicated question, but also the key factor about system capability. This paper combined with the advantages of genetic algorithm and hill-climbing algorithm, brings forward a genetic hill-climbing algorithm and applied to solve the query optimization problem in distributed heterogeneous database. From the experiment result, its effect very is good. .
