PhenomenologicalStudy of Structure Relaxation of Glycerol Aqueous Glass

In order to examine the effects of water contents on structure relaxation parameters of glycerol aqueousglasses, heat capacity and glass transition temperature of five aqueous solutions (60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, and 100%)were determined using the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Structure relaxation behaviors of glycerol aque-ous glasses were investigated in the term of Tool-Narayanaswamy-Monihan (TNM) model parameters. The structurerelaxation time was found to decrease as the water content increased. Curve-fitting results indicated that the apparentactivation energy and non-exponential parameter decreased while non-linear parameter and pre-exponential pa-rameter increased as the water content increased.
