Measuring micro-displacement using the four-quadrant detector

Four-quadrant detector was based on photovoltaic effect,the displacement of light source could be calculated according to the output potential of four quadrants.In this work,the transverse and vertical movement of light source were measured using four-quadrant detector,the errors were analyzed,and the correction methods were given.The experimental results indicated that the four-quadrant detector could provide high accuracy and short delay time in micro-displacement detection.The sensitivity of vertical detection was lower than that of transverse detection.
