INVESTIGATION OF MAGNETIC PROPERTIES AND MSSBAUER SPECTRA OF La_x Ba_(1-x)Fe_(12-x) Zn_xO_(19) FERRITES

DU YOU-WEI LU HUAI-XIAN ZHANG Yu-CHANG HUI LI-REN WANG TING-XIANG (Department of Physics, Nanjing University)  
The hexagonal ferrites LaxBa(1-x)Fe(12-X)ZnxO19 were prepared by oxalate eopreci-pitation method. The ferrites with magnet oplumbite structure were found to be formed for x 0.8, the speicifie magnetization a increases with increasing x, but Curie, temperature θf and the magnetic crystal anisotropy constant k decreases with increasing x. Mossbauer spectra have revealed that Zn2+ ion tends to occupy 4f2 site.
