Affective Forecasting Bias in Group Decision Making

To test whether there is impact bias in group decision making,two experiments were conducted. Experiment 1 focused on positive affect forecasting,while experiment 2 focused on negative affect forecasting. Results showed that group members underestimated their positive emotion when predicting how happy they would be,while overestimated their negative emotion when predicting how unhappy they would be. The study has important pratical value for improving group decision making.
