Seismic analysis of powerhouse in river channel based on viscoelastic boundary

In order to analyze the seismic response,evaluate the seismic safety,find out the seismic week part during the earthquake,and explore the influence of foundation radiation damping on the dynamic structure,the paper has precisely analyzed the dynamic response and seismic safety of a powerhouse in river channel by adopting 3Dnonlinear finite elements.The viscoelastic boundary has been used to calculate the effect of foundation radiation damping;and the fluid-structure interaction has been used to premeditate the influence of water.The calculation results show that:the ground motion along the river has an obvious effect on the seismic response of the powerhouse;the dynamic response of the upper structure is greater than that of the lower structure;the dynamic response of the upstream part is greater than that of the downstream part;the maximal tensile stress of the upper shelf reaches 4.53 MP and the maximal compression stress is-5.58 MPa.In addition,the comparison between the above calculation result and the calculation result of no mass foundation scheme shows that the seismic response of the powerhouse in river channel can be effectively reduced with a maximum degree of 64.36% by taking the foundation radiation damping into consideration.
