Mixed Excitation Specialty of Electromagnetism Continuously Variable Transmission

The magnetic field of electromagnetism continuously variable transmission(EMCVT) was consisted of two parts called mixed magnetic field,which were the permanent and the assistant magnetic fields.The permanent magnetic field was generated by the permanent magnetic pole and the assistant magnetic field(AMF) was generated by the direct current coil.The AMF was analyzed in three dimensional finite method.The mathematic model of the AMF was set up and AMF fuzzy logic controller was designed.The controlling simulation model was set up based on the lowest engine fuel consumption.The simulation was carried out in open loop condition which was the destined throttle angle cycle.The results showed that the EMCVT controller can follow up the optimized engine operating points in all modes such as the start-up mode,the accelerating mode,the resistance disturbing mode and so on.The engine operating curve of the EMCVT vehicle was more close to optimized operating line than that of the five speed automatic transmission vehicle.The engine operating efficiency of the EMCVT vehicle was improved distinctly.
