RESEARCH ON SEQUENCES STRATIGRAPHY DISTRIBUTION AND ITS CHARACTER OF SHAHEJIE FORMATION OF PALEOGENE TEMPESTITES IN GUBEI-ZHUANGHAI

LIU Hui-xi1, TAN Xian-feng2, MENG Wan-bing2, et al. (1.China University of Mining and Technology,Beijing Campus,Beijing 100083,China; 2.Iinstitute of sedimentary geology,Chengdu University of Technology,Chengdu Sichuan 610059,China).
Taking the Shahejie Formation of Paleogene tempestites in Gubei-Zhuanghai as a research object, the sequence distribution and the sequence character of the Shahejie Formation were studied based on lots of interpretation of seismic profiles, analysis of well logging and observation of drilling cores and the analysis of the petrology character. The Shahejie Formation was divided into two III-grade sequences in this paper, SQ1, SQ2 and SQ3, and it was divided into six intermediate cyclothems, S1~S2upper,S2low~S3upper,S3middle,S3loe,S4upper and S4low.The characteristics of the sequence were deeply discussed based on seismic profiles, drilling profiles and logging data. The developed characteristics of each sequence have also been discussed.
