There are fine sandstone,grit sandstone and unequigranular sandstone in Es4 reservoir of Xin 176 block,so its lithology heterogeneity is strong.The research of four-property relationship suggests that the accurate lithology identification is the premise of correct evaluation of reservoir static parameters and identification of oil and water layers,especially the low resistivity reservoir.This article introduces the principle and technique flow of Bayes stepwise discriminant method and uses spontaneous potential,gamma ray,acoustic travel time,formation true resistivity,flushed zone resistivity and core analysis data to build discriminant functions of fine sandstone,grit sandstone,unequigranular sandstone and mudstone.The effect of application suggests that the identification accuracy rate of Bayes stepwise discriminant method to recognize lithology reaches 86%,so it can meet the need of lithology recognition in Es4 reservoir of Xin 176 block.
