An investigation on casting alloy compositions and the technology for manufacturing some thin components unearthed from the Qin Mausoleum

According to the determinations of chemical compositions of some bronze carriage components and an arrowhead together with a sword unearthed from the Qin Mausoleum,we analysed the standard for casting alloy compositions and melting,pouring temperatures in this paper.We also analysed and studied the metallographic structure of thin components of the unearthed bronze carriage.It is concluded that casting combined with forging method was in common used for manufacturing thin bronze carriage parts and other components in the Qin Dynasty.
