MBOC(Multiplexed Binary Offset Carrier) is an optimized modulation recommended for GALILEO L1 OS and GPS LIC.Compared with BOC,MBOC spreading modulation provides more high frequency power,so it can improve the pseudorange precision and mitigate the multipath effect.CBOC(Composite Binary Offset Carrier) signal is adopted for Galileo. This paper introduces the power spectral density and autocorrelation of MBOC modulation, then analyses its additional benefits including code tracking in noise and mitigation of multipath effect through MAT LAB simulation.
