TiO_2/MoS_2 Composite Photocatalyst Prepared by Hydrothermal Method with Enhanced Photocatalytic Activity

The TiO_2/MoS_2 composite photocatalyst was synthesized by two-step hydrothermal method.The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction,transmission electron microscopy,UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy,indicating MoS_2 has been successfully loaded on the surface of TiO_2{101}nanoflower.The as-prepared TiO_2/MoS_2{101}hybrid composites showed better photocatalytic activity under visible-light irradiation than pure MoS_2 and TiO_2 {101}nanoflower.Such a remarkable enhancement of photocatalytic activity was mainly attributed to the improved separation efficiency of photogenerated electron-hole pairs.
