Determination of Cinnamic Acid and Cinnamic Aldehyde in Cassia Twig by Near-infrared Spectroscopy

The quantitative analysis model for determination of the content of cinnamic acid and cinnamic aldehyde in Cassia twig by near—infrared Spectroscopy.HPLC was used as the reference method to determine the contents of cinnamic acid and cinnamic aldehyde.NIR diffuse reflectance spectra of the samples were collected,Multivariate calibration models based on PLS algorithm were developed.The correlation coefficients of the calibration models were 0.9302 and 0.9520.Root mean square error of cross validation were 0.0034 and 0.0233,Root mean square error of prediction were 0.0128 and 0.0651.It was feasible to determine cinnamic acid and cinnamic aldehyde in Cassia twig and it provided a rapid convenient method for quality control.
