The Prosperity of Feminine Literature in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and Its Main Characteristics

Though contemporary Chinese feminine literature is widely noticed and referred to, the same kind literary genre in the pre-modern China has not been paid enough attention to by our scholars So , this text takes the feminine literature in the Ming and Qing Dynasties for example , pointing out its five characteristics :homely authorship ; veteran femininity in the Ming and Qing Dynasties; the rise of groups and societies among feminine people ; interviews of women poets with intellectual men ; the negation of traditional confines and rules imposed upon the feminine people and the emphasis of the communicative function of literature
