On Maintaining the Harmonious Relationship in Teaching English Assisted by Multi-Media

SHAO Shui ping (Enghish Dept., Tongan No. 1 Middle School, Xiamen, Fujian 361100, China)  
It is stated in this eassay that the development in the technology of multi media, which can help create situations and enforce the density of classroom teaching as well as providing individual learning environment, is having a greater and greater influence on English teaching. It is also stated that special attention should be paid to the application of multi media in English teaching, especially the harmonious relationship between the key factors of teaching the teacher, the students, teaching materials and methods. Only when multi media is properly used, and only with the guidance of related theories can it help English teaching to the utmost.
