Isentropic time frequency distribution of Ricker wavelet and attenuation cosine wavelet signals

This paper analyzed the limitation of positive isentropic time frequency distribution by the definition of time frequency distribution of entropy, and studied the characters of Fourier subclass in the CPZ class. It was pointed that all members of this subclass have the same entropy besides meeting the marginal of CPZ class. The Fourier isentropic TFDS of lowest harmonic complexity were given for the attenuation cosine wavelet and Ricker wavelet signals by computation. The contour plots of TC(t,f) for the cosine wavelet and Ricker wavelet signals were made by using Matlab. It was found that the contours were more concentrated in time frequency plane. The results indicate that the isentropic time frequency distribution could be an effective measurement for studying the time frequency distribution of signals.
