PEI Jian-zhong,DOU Ming-jian,HU Chang-shun,WANG Bing-gang(Key Laboratory for Special Area Highway Engineering of Ministry of Education, Chang'an University,Xi'an 710064,Shaanxi,China)
According to the investigation and the mechanism of the embankment longitudinal cracks, the main reason for the crack is the appearance of thaw area under slope foot in permafrost region.Through the FEM of elastic-plastic theory, this paper studies the influence of thaw area's parameter on the embankment longitudinal cracks in the permafrost region. The results show that the depth of the thaw mainly increases the size of the cracks, the place of thaw area mainly changes the possibility and the place of the cracks, the length of thaw area relatively becomes complex for the influence of the cracks.1 tab,11 figs,8 refs.
