Research on Tool Life and Cutting Parameter Optimization with a Given Constraint Condition in High Speed Milling GH4169

For the problems of the poor tool life and the low removal rate to machine nickel based superalloys GH4169,the orthogonal experiment was processed to obtain the tool life data of a new developed PVD-TiAlN coated carbide tool to cut superalloy GH4169.In addition,by annealing penalty function genetic algorithm,an optimization model of cutting parameters,which lead to maximum material removal rate,is built according to the specified tool life values.The optimal parameter combination is gotten when the tool life T≥30min as constraint conditions,and the experimental validation is done.The results indicate that cutting speed has highly obvious influence on tool life.The optimization model,which is established based on annealing penalty function genetic algorithm,can improve materials processing efficiency and quality of the GH4169 effectively.
