Preparation of M/Ti-MCM-41 Photocatalyst and Its Performance of Hydrogen Production

Ti-MCM-41 zeolite with mesoporous structure was prepared taking silica acid tetraethyl ester (TEOS) as Si source, tetrabutyl orthotitante (TBOT) as Ti source, and hexadecylpyridinium bromide (CPBr) as template agent, then loaded with transition metal oxide at row four in the periodic table of elements to result in M/Ti-MCM-41.The ultraviolet-visible diffuse reflectance spectra and experimental results show that the absorption of M/Ti-MCM-41 is red shifted compared with Ti-MCM-41,the performance of hydrogen production is better than that of Ti-MCM-41 under irradiation of 300 W high-pressure mercury lamp, and the highest hydrogen production rate of the former catalyst is as 5.78 times as the latter one.
