Present Conditions and Development of Dam Safety Monitoring and Control Researches Home and Abroad

With the development of water resources exploitation and utilization, the problems involved in dam safety become increasingly remarkable. A general review on dam safety monitoring and control researches carried out in China and overseas is introduced in the following five aspects: error processing and analysis of monitoring data series, normal analysis of monitoring data, back analysis of the structure characteristic of dam, feedback analysis and working out the indexes of dam safety monitoring and control, dam safety general evaluation and decision making. Finally, with an aim at the trend of dam safety monitoring and control researches, corresponding proposals are tabled.
