Realization of sine & cosine function on FPGA based on CORDIC algorithm

An improved algorithm is proposed based on traditional CORDIC algorithm.On the precondition of uninfluencing the data accuracy,this method can not only expanding the range of rotation angle but also reduce ROM store space and improve processing speed.Finally,it is realized on the chip EP1C3T100C8.The improved algorithm′s correctness is proved by building model in Matlab.Compared with traditional CORDIC algorithm,this algorithm has advantages of large calculation angle range,high operation speed and low resource.
