A Study on the Establishment of Sustainable Shelter Forests of Economic Ecology Type without the Plague of Longicorn

Anoplophora nobilisand A.glabripennis are two destructive insect pests occurring in the shelter forests in Shaanxi,Ningxia and Gansu.After studied many years'control expe- riences and resistance of the major forestation species in each area,it is concluded that themain cause of longicorn break is the man made establishment of longicorn susceptible shelter forests,resulting an unbalanced ecosystem.The strategic policy to get at the root of this problem is to establish sustainable shelter forests of economic ecological type without the plague of longicorn by using forestry ecological system to control the number of longicorn, which reflecting the ecological view of integrated management of insect pests.
