Stand Structure Design for the Sustainable Shelter Forests Without Plague of Insect Pests in Ninxia

Based on the three year's investigation and observation of the growing and pest damaging conditions of the first planted tree species and second planted trees,shrubs,and herbs in newly builtsecond- generation forest- nets in Yinbei,Ninxia Hui Autonomous Re- gion,and according to analysis of stand resistance and related study from the references,an order of pestresistance of afforesting tree species was listred,and the shelters were classified into three groups which were sub- classified into different subgroups.At last,put forward the principle and plan of tree species selection and design for sustainable shelter forests sus- tainable without plague of insect pests.
