Studied on the Growth Regularity of Pinus sylvestris var. monglica Needling

For the aims of providing references for cultivating healthy Pinus sylvestris var.Mongolica needling with developed root system,the growth regularity of aboveground and underground part and their relationship were studied in Maowusu sandy area in the north of Shaanxi.The results showed that the growth of height,biomass and ground diameter of 1~5-year-old seedlings showed obvious growth thythm.the corresponding curves were Logistic function for seedling height and ground diameter,exponential function for aboveground biomass,underground biomass and main root length.Compared with underground,percentage of aboveground biomass increased annually,from 50.0% of first year to 80.0% of fifth year.
