STUDIES ON NUTRITIVE CONSTITUENTS OF TEN WILD FRUITS IN THE QINLING AND BASHAN MOUNTAIN REGIONS OF SHAANXI PROVINCE

The nutritive constituents of ten wild fruits in the Qinling and Bashan Mountains of Shaanxi Province Were studied as against cultivated fruits. The results show that the majority of wild fruits contain higher content of proteins, amino acids,fat.unsaturated fatty acids,organic acids, starch, vitamin C and mineral elements, and lower content of saturated fatty acids and soluble sugars. Scientific basis for exploiting and utilizing wild plant food resources in Shaanxi province has been provided from the rerults.
