The Idea of the Drama in Ancient China Examined at Various Levels:its Source and Course of Evolution

the idea of the drama in its earliest form began to take shape in the course of a tenacious struggle carried on by our forefathe rs and ancients in t he pre-historical periods,fighting against violent,ferocious birds and beasts s o as to make a living and survive.It was only after a long historical evolution that the idea of drama in ancient China came to be referred as the stage perform ing art.From the Ming and Qing Dynasties through modern times the idea of drama in ancient China in the form of stage performing art,because of its dominant s ocial status,got to be diversified with distinctive tendencies and a great disp arity in style.
