The chemical constituents of Elsholtzia stauntonii Benth

Sixteen constituents were isolated from the alcoholic extract of the whole plant of a Chinese medicinal herb Elsholtzia stauntonii .Twelve of them were elucidated by spectroscopic and chemical evidences as follows:6 methy dotracontane(1), β sitosterol(2), α L n butylsorboside(3),5 (3″ methyl) 8 methoxyfurocoumarin(4),alloimeperatorin methyl ether(5),5,7 dimethoxyl 4′ hydroxy flavone(6),muxiangrine Ⅰ(7),muxiangrine Ⅱ(8),muxiangrine Ⅲ(9),iso formononetin 4′ glucoside(11),isorhamnetin 3 O rutinoside(14),querce tin 3 O β gal(6→1) α rha(15).
