Objective The dissolution curves of Glipizide Tablets from 5different manufacturers in 4kinds of dissolution media were analyzed by the real-time process monitoring method whose similarity was evaluated with the f2 factor. Methods At different pH,dissolution curves of Glipizide Tablets from 5different manufacturers were attained by the fiber-optic dissolution process monitor at wavelength of 222 nm in different media against 10 mm in the detection length, and were evaluated with the f2 similarity factor method. Results Under the conditions of different pH,medicines from different manufacturers showed significantly different dissolution curves. Conclusion The method as its convenience and reliability provides an effective way of evaluating bioequivalence test for the drug, and is suitable to distinguish the similarity in vitro dissolution curve.
