Study on the Variation of the Superoxide Dismutase of Soybean under Salt-stress Condition

The superoxide dismutase(SOD)isozyme of the embryo root of four soybean cultivars and their F2 seeds under normal and salt-stress germination were analyzed. The results indicated that when under normal condition there were seven SOD isozyme bands in all soybean genotypes' used under absent Salt-stress Condifions. The SOD activity decreased with the increment of days after germination. Meanwhile, some of the bands disappeared gradually, starting from c, until c2 and C1 band. Six new bands (d1, d2,d3,e2, e2 and e3)and some new zymograms appeared under salt-stress. They were called "induced" type whereas the zymogram with seven bands "normal" type.
