Early Maturing Lines of Obtained through Foreign Total DNA Introduction in Soybean

This study reports that foreign DNA was introduced into recipient Heinong 26 directly through pollen tube after self-pollination of soybean. The donor was Suinong 8 containing early maturing consanguinity. Three early maturing plant lines were obtained in D2 generation and they matured 15 days earlier than that of the recipient. The lines stabilized fast. According to the experiment results in different locations the yeild of line D90-1072 was 19.9% higher than CK and was assigned into provincial local trial in 1993. Through analysis of RAPD (Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA) to the recipient, donor and offspring of the combination , it was proved that fragments of donor DNA have gone into the genome of the recipient and caused variation in the offsprings.
