Trademark Image Retrieval Using MPEG-7 Visual Region-shape Descriptors

For reducing data redundancy of MPEG-7 visual region-shape descriptors,firstly,the method of Angular Radial Transform(ART) coefficient algorithm implementation is proposed under discrete condition.Then,ART fast algorithm which can only calculate the 1/4 size of the regional image shape is also proposed using the symmetry of polar coordinate and the nature of trigonometrical function.Image retrieval system based on shape feature is fabricated and applied to trademark image retrieval.Experimental results demonstrate that the method is feasible and effective.Also,data redundancy is reduced by fast algorithm.
