Effects of iron on mixed bacteria for hydrogen production

With the mixed bacteria after aerated as the research subject,the effects of the different iron valences and concentration on hydrogen production capacity were discussed.The results showed that,all irons had the ability to enhance the hydrogen production of the mixed bacteria,and the Fe2+ had the best ability.When the experience got 60 h,the total hydrogen production got the maximum at 175 mL when added the concentration of Fe2+ was 400 mg/L.Then,the promotion of hydrogen production was clearly when added the concentration of Fe2+ was 1600 mg/L,the total hydrogen production got the maximum at 230 mL.
