Re-understanding of coronary artery stent

Coronary artery stent design involves many subjects,such as materials,mechanics,medicine,and biochemistry.Traditional stent design needs much time and effort.Finite element analysis is one of the effective methods of stent design.Stent wall thickness and metal surface area are important parameters for coronary artery stent design.Processing method of the stent is decided by material supply.Eluting technology can integrate all advantages of different materials.The local tissue reactions following stent implantation can be evaluated by related indexes.Coronary artery stent restenosis is main adverse reaction following stent implantation.Inflammatory reaction,smooth muscle hyperplasia,excellular matrix aggregation are basic pathological changes.The status of patients,surgeon,and surgical apparatus can help to recognize risk factors for restenosis.
