Discussion on Treatment Technologies for Karstic Fissure Water in the Inclined Shafts of Guanjiao Tunnel

Located on Xining-Golmud section of Qinghai-Tibet railway line, so far Guanjiao tunnel is the longest railway tunnel in China with a length of 32.645 km. The paper focuses on the No.3 and No.4 inclined shafts of Guanjiao tunnel, describes in detail the water blocking solution, grouting technology, pumping equipment allocation, and on the basis of the features of water gushing, summarizes and discusses the water inflow criteria for water blocking, water pumping and drainage, and different grouting scheme selection in the construction of inclined shaft. It aims to be taken for reference by other similar projects.
