Advancement of Prevention and Treatment of Postoperative Pulmonary Complication

Lung is the mainly involved targeting organ of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome. Postoperative pulmonary complications were more common than the others and the main cause of postoperative death, which usually presented as atelectasis, pulmonary infection, pulmonary arterial thrombus and acute lung injury. The incidence was gradually increasing associated with the increasing of environmental risk factors and the improvement of diagnostic technique. Therefore, prevention and early intervention for postoperative pulmonary complication was very important.
