EXPLORATION ON THE INTERVENTION PATTERN FOR MALE HOMOSEXUALS AND INVESTIGATION ON THE KAP OF AIDS

[Objective]To investigate the knowledge,attitude and practice(KAP)of AIDS among men who have sex with men(MSM),and explore the model of behavior intervention among MSM.[Methods]After gaining the confident and support from bosses in gay bars and bathrooms where MSM used to gather and sent information on the web sites of gay,170 MSM were investigated with questionnaires and detected by HIV testing.[Results]The smallest age for the first homosexual behavior was 13 years,the correct rate of STD/AIDS knowledge was above 75%. 31.18% of these MSM investigated thought that they may be infected STD/AIDS,and 74.71% of them would like to insist on using condom to prevent STD/AIDS. The infection rate of HIV was 2.94%.[Conclusion]This study suggest to adopt the intervention pattern of utilizing the effect of media and volunteers,spreading use of condom and appealing related departments to carry out more research among MSM.
