COMPARISON BETWEEN THE EFFICACY OF INTRAVENTRICULAR HEMORRHAGE BY VENTRICLE SURGERY AND TRADITIONAL CRANIOTOMY

LIN Xiao,ZHANG Chao-yuan.(Department of Neurosurgery,Pingnan People's Hospital,Pingnan 537300,China)
[Objective] To compare clinic efficacy of the traditional craniotomy and ventricular surgery in treatment of intraventricular hemorrhage.[Methods] From January 2007 to January 2009,80 patients with intraventricular hemorrhage in our hospital were randomly divided into observation group and the control group, the observation group was treated by intraventricular surgery, and the control group was treated by traditional craniotomy surgery. We compared with the clinic efficacy.[Results] After 2 weeks of treatment, the clearance rate of intraventricular hematoma in observation group(75.0%) was significantly higher than that in control group(45.0%);The excellence rate and total effective rate in the observation group were 25.0% and 85.0%,respectively,which was higher than those in control. After treatment, the neurological deficit score in the observation group(11.0 ± 2.7) was significant lower than that in the control group(16.5 ± 2.6);After treatment for 3 months,11 cases in the observation group achieved good functional status of ADL(28.2%),which was higher than the control group(11.1%).[Conclusion] Ventricle trauma surgery had the aspects of little wound, quick recovery and low mortality, and its clinical efficacy was better than the traditional craniotomy.
