RAPD Study of Photoperiod Sensitive Genic Male Sterile Rice ( Oryza sativa subsp. indica)

By use of RAPD technique, 8902 and 8902s, the nearisogenic lines of photoperiod sensitive genic male sterility, are analysed. From 15 primers, a 1000 bpspecific fragment emplified by one primer OPA 04 presents in 8902 but absences from 8902s. It is suggested that the fragment is a molecular marker linked to the gene of photoperiod sensitive genic male sterility in rice (Oryza sativa subsp. indica).
