Modification and Implementation of PROFIBUS-DP Remote Intelligent Slave Technology in Blast Furnace Top Feeding Control System

Aiming at the limitation of the top control system of blast furnace charging device, the paper brings forth employing PROFIBUS-DP field bus to realize control systems such as real-time detection and protection system of hydraulic station, sealing material system and material flow adjustment. Siemens S7-400 H was selected as the main station control unit, Siemens PLC slave station was set on the top of the blast furnace, PC was used as the upper computer for the real-time monitoring of the blast furnace field operation status, centralized remote management, and modification of the working condition parameters. The results of the transformation show that the PROFIBUS-DP remote intelligent slave technology helps solve the problem of frequent faults in the top loading system effectively.
